Being Health Conscience with Burger Planet

GARY, Ind.— Quick-service restaurant Burger Planet, hired fitness expert Jayne Peterson, to promote healthy lifestyles to Burger Planet’s consumers. In the past year, Burger Planet has added a new variety of food choices to the traditional menu.

“Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick-Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices. The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson," Jayne Peterson said when asked why she joined the Burger Planet team.

James E. Mullenbach III, Burger Planet CEO, made a statement about what he wants the Burger Planet consumers to know about the new health campaign.
“… I want our customers to realize that Burger Planet is committed to offering healthy choices on its menu. The hiring of Jayne Petersen fits perfectly in the company's overall focus on healthy lifestyles,” Muellenbach said.

Fruit packages, salads and white meat chicken breasts are a few of the healthy choices that Burger Planet has added to the menu. Customers can also wrap their sandwiches in lettuce for a low-carb alternative to the hamburger bun.

Jayne Peterson started out as an aerobics instructor and made multiple workout videos. Famous talk show host, Opal Whitcomb, lost 75 pounds with the help of Peterson, and has had Peterson on her talk show dozens of times.

Burger Planet was founded in 1934 by James E. Mullenbach I. The headquarters are in Gary, Indiana and they have 8,921 franchises. Burger Planet serves 52 billion people, and still counting.

  1. Well done! You did a good job with this one, the only thing I saw that I might change is pulling the ellipses at the beginning of your quote. You don't need them at the beginning As you can tell from the nit-pickiness of that I really thought this was well done!

  2. Hey Aubry,

I would have the quote from the CEO be the lead quote next time, but that's just me.

I thought you did a really good job describing the new menu items, and I liked the Jayne Petersen bio-paragraph.

    Overall, really good press release.
